Industrial Asset Management Made Simple

Our Inspectors are certified ASNT-SNT-TC-1A Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians. Our NDT methods yield in-depth quantitative results, allowing us to calculate corrosion rates and find areas of excessive deterioration. We can then recommend the preventative maintenance needed to mitigate the probability of a hazardous discharge into the environment and avoid more costly repairs later on.

We perform both fixed interval inspections and risk-based inspections to provide insight into the structural integrity of your assets when it is most needed. Our expert API 653, API 510, STI SP0001, and API 570 inspections will uncover exactly how well your tank is holding up, to both outside elements and the product it contains.

OUR NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Above Ground Tank Inspection
  • Visual Inspections
  • Ultrasonic Testing
  • Magnetic Particle Testing / Magnaflux Inspection
  • Penetrant Dye Testing
  • Vacuum Box Testing
  • Radiographic Testing
  • Ultrasonic Thickness Testing
  • Tank Tightness Testing

Why South Carolina is Choosing NDT Tanknicians

South Carolina’s growing automotive and trucking industries, its thriving tourism centers in Charleston, Hilton Head Island, and the ever-popular Myrtle Beach area, and its large collection of interstate highways build up a large demand for both gasoline and asphalt. Companies such as Palmetto Propane, Nation Ford Chemical, Amalie Oil Co., Chase Oil, Murphy Oil, Palmetto Corp, and Banks Construction Company produce chemical and petrochemical products that bolster the state’s economy and keep its commercial activities going strong.

Storage tanks located along the Atlantic coast benefit from our expert tank coating and lining services, as the salty sea air accelerates oxidation and can lead to corrosion. These services also help to protect tanks against humidity-related degradation caused by the state’s subtropical climate. As South Carolina experiences high rates of both earthquakes and tropical cyclones, we are proud to offer our expert repair and engineering services to help safeguard and extend the life of their valuable assets.

The Plum Island Wastewater Treatment Plant spill in 2020, along with the 2014 spill in Belton and the 1996 spill into the Reedy River, have underlined the severe environmental and financial costs of unintended contamination. NDT Tanknicians will help you protect your company and South Carolina’s natural resources against these costly accidents.
