POSITION: SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Job Description: The choice candidate will have experience and knowledge with Aboveground Storage Tank system components, operation, monitoring devices and API 653 program requirements and have current Certification by the American Petroleum Institute as an Above Ground Storage Tank 653 Inspector. Further experience / certification in Non-destructive testing methods such as UT, is a plus. Candidate must have a minimum of three years’ work experience in the petroleum storage and distribution field; references must be provided.

Provide technical management of assigned tank inspection projects, including direct interface with designated site representatives, assigned resources, subcontractors and vendors. Take responsibility for completion of field inspections, field documentation, interpretation of applicable codes and standards, report preparation and technical review in order to prepare documents and reports. The ability to work well alongside other technicians is crucial, must be able to work in confined spaces, must be able to climb storage tank ladders, stairs and foldable ladders.

Candidate must have ability to express self effectively both orally and in writing, must be able to travel periodically, must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Promote and adhere to corporate ethics program and health & safety program

Desired Skills and certifications: Must show competency in working with computers and other job relevant technology. Certifications from the API & STI are a must, all certifications will hold merit, however, API 653 and STI SP001 are highly desired.

POSITION: TECHNICIAN

The choice candidate would have some background in underground & aboveground storage tank systems, NDT, and general construction knowledge. Current OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations, OSHA 10 or 30 Hour General Industry or Construction Industry training certification, confined space training or other OSHA certifications a plus. Training can be provided for the right individual.

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 or more pounds, willing to work in all weather conditions: extreme heat, cold, dry or wet environment, able to work in confined spaces and not be afraid of getting dirty. Must be able to obtain general and respiratory physical for wear of respirator. Knowledge of hazardous waste industry is a plus, previous tank cleaning experience is a plus.
