Georgia PETROLEUM & STORAGE TANK GOVERNANCE
Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD)
The Georgia Storage Tank (UST) Management Program oversees the regulation of emergency generators and ensures that registered UST systems are operationally compliant and address leaks. USTs are typically found at gas stations, government buildings, airports, and facilities using petroleum.
Meanwhile, emergency generators are common at hospitals and data centers. While many systems fall under Georgia UST Rules, exceptions include tanks used for heating oils, heating equipment, boilers, furnaces, and above-ground storage tanks. For inquiries on these exemptions or to determine if your tank is regulated by USTMP, contact them via email or phone.
